Aerial 1080 Pest Control Industry Guidelines

Public consultation

The draft aerial 1080 guidelines were released for comment on 20 August 2010.

The purpose of the consultation was to seek comment in relation to the content of the guidelines – which are intended to ensure that practitioners know what is required to comply with existing regulation and to implement best practice.

The invitation for public comment was the final consultation phase for the project. More than 1400 people or organisations who had made submissions during the ERMA reassessment of1080 process were notified about the opportunity to comment. Submissions closed on 17 September 2010.

Fifteen submissions were received. The submissions were considered by the 1080 Guidelines Steering Committee. The Committee's responses are summarised  in the summary of submissions below.
